Sample Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at SJO and transfer to project Included meal: Light dinner Please note: Participants need to book flights in the morning to have enough time. Rain Forest Day 2-4: Work in a sustainable farm while learning about agriculture and farm animals. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, dinner Day 5: Waterfalls Hike Tour Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner In the company of a local guide you will walk towards an incredible waterfall. During the hike you will walk around 420 species of birds, 89 of mammals of which 59 are bats, 30 species of amphibians and 35 of reptiles. Along the trip you will learn a little about the natural history and the importance of some of these species. Enjoy an included lunch featuring local cuisine. Day 6: Transfer to the Beach and set up Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Beach Day 7-8: Work with a community based organization, and help with cleaning the beach, repairing local buildings, teaching English and others. Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, dinner Day 9: Travel to the Central Valley and visit Poas Volcano. Set off on a walk with a local guide learn about the place and the area. Flight Home Day 10: Departure Included meal: Breakfast (excluding early morning departures) Transfer to the airport for your flight home or extend your stay in Costa Rica.
